Quick tip on your build, you still need to use the tier 1 versions of the spells in your runecorder. For fire, combustion only applies when you use a tier 1 spell. Tier 1 is rank 1-3, Tier 2 is rank 4-6, and tier 3 is 7-9. Each one of these tiers has their own buff they apply that unlocks in the skill tree. So you want to look at the duration on these buffs and cast the corresponding tier before it runs out, and go back to using the highest.
An update on my lightning build I mentioned before, I noticed part of my issue with energy use was happening when I was getting too much haste on gear. I'm up to world 47 now. Lightning is still going strong, but focusing more on hitting harder rather than faster has allowed me to make runecorder setups that are much less energy starved, while still blasting through the worlds. I buy a couple haste pieces early in the world, then avoid it, I get as much crit damage as possible, followed by increasing gold income.
